Anthony Marengo

Anthony Marengo
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Anthony is responsible for executing Canyon Vista’s strategic vision. He leads a talented multi-disciplinary treatment team committed to improving the lives they touch on a daily basis. Anthony brings over 16 years of experience in the substance abuse and mental health treatment field where he has held various leadership positions and helped countless individuals in Arizona and Texas.

John Lee

John Lee
Medical Director
Dr. John Lee is board certified in both Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He graduated from Midwestern University with the highest distinction in Behavioral Health for his graduating class. He completed his residency at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and was Chief Resident. Dr. Lee takes a holistic approach to care and only prescribes evidence-based medications. He is an expert in the use of medications for mental health and addiction, with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois where he graduated with high honors. Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing high-quality care to all of his clients at Canyon Vista.

Stephen Leza

Stephen Leza
Director of Admissions
With a career in the Behavioral Health Field since 2012, Stephen’s own recovery journey fuels a deep passion for aiding others in obtaining quality treatment services. As the first voice heard in challenging moments, Stephen provides comfort and reassurance to those at their lowest point. Families often compliment his patience and determination to get their loved ones the best quality help possible. He ensures anyone who calls Canyon Vista is fully heard and understood and walks alongside individuals step by step through the entire admission process.

Tracey Herrera

Tracey Herrera
Director of Clinical Services
Tracey Herrera is a dedicated behavioral health professional with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University. She has over 10 years of dedicated experience in the Addiction Treatment field. Tracey is a Phoenix native with insight to community and strong commitment to helping individuals achieve long term recovery. Tracey is especially passionate about working with Veterans, providing compassionate, trauma informed care to support their unique needs and experiences.
She is driven by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to build a meaningful, long-term recovery and takes pride in guiding individuals and families through the journey. Tracey is happily married, proud parent and grandparent who enjoys sports, spending time with family – which includes her four dogs – and is embracing the balance between her personal and professional passions.

Andrea Francis

Andrea Francis
Director of Nursing
Andrea Francis began her professional journey as a medical assistant, driven by a passion for helping others. Her dedication to learning and growth led her to further her education, first becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and later achieving her Registered Nurse (RN) degree.
Throughout much of her career, Andrea excelled in skilled nursing, providing exceptional care to patients and making a meaningful impact on their lives. However, her path took a transformative turn when personal experiences with family addiction ignited a deeper sense of purpose.
Motivated by these profound experiences, Andrea chose to shift her career focus, seeking a role where she could help individuals overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. This decision ultimately brought her to Canyon Vista Recovery Center, where she discovered her true calling.
At Canyon Vista, Andrea combines her clinical expertise with a heartfelt understanding of the challenges of addiction, working tirelessly to support and empower individuals on their journey to recovery. Her story is a testament to resilience, compassion, and the power of turning life’s challenges into a purpose-driven mission.

John Santillan MHA(C), BSHM, LSSGB

Director of Quality & Patient Safety
John Santillan serves as the Director of Quality & Patient Safety at Canyon Vista Recovery Center, where he leads initiatives focused on enhancing clinical outcomes, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. John brings a strong foundation in healthcare operations, accreditation, infection control, and performance improvement, with a commitment to ensuring high-quality evidence-based care.
John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University. He is also Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified and holds a Patient Safety Certificate from the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality.”

Ana Buncher MS, MHA

Director of Utilization Review
Ana serves as the Director of Utilization Review at Canyon Vista Recovery Center. She has accumulated over ten years of experience in the behavioral health sector and possesses graduate degrees in Addiction Studies and Health Administration from Capella University. In addition to her expertise in Utilization Review, Ana has held positions in quality assurance, compliance, and risk management. She demonstrates expertise in behavioral health regulations and insurance protocols, assessing medical necessity, controlling costs efficiently, liaising with managed care organizations and external reviewers, and maximizing reimbursement. Ana is dedicated to serving the community and is committed to ensuring all clients receive the appropriate level of care and support.

Danielle Kingery

Business Office Manager
Danielle serves as the Business Office Manager at Canyon Vista Recovery Center. She is an accomplished Business Office Manager with extensive experience in financial operations, revenue cycle management, and administrative leadership. Known for her strong organizational skills and strategic approach, Danielle excels at streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
In her role, Danielle oversees billing, collections, and recovery operations, driving accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting while fostering a collaborative team environment. She is passionate about optimizing workflows and leveraging data-driven insights to enhance performance and achieve organizational goals. With a proven track record of managing complex business office functions, Danielle is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and supporting both operational and financial success.
